Event Description


The application process is split into two parts: the scientific application on the ENABLE website, and the payment process, which is done here on EasySignup. Please make sure you use the same name and email address for both websites, and do not perform either registration step twice. Once you completed the payment process, you will receive a confirmation email. Please keep this email, as it contains links which will allow you to view, edit and cancel your registration!

Registration fee

Abstract submission is closed, but you can still register for the symposium until 18th of October. Registration is limited to 300 people, and seats will be assigned on first-come-first-served basis. Please be aware that ENABLE retains the right to deny registration.

Career chats

Career chats take place on the career day, 7th of November, in parallel to the workshops. Base on your workshop choice, you might not be able to select career chats running only in the morning/afternoon.

Ida Holst Bekker-Jensen:
Holds a PhD and currently works as a patent attorney at the private consulting agency, Budde Schou A/S, Denmark.

Simon Holst Bekker-Jensen: Professor and young group leader at Center for Healthy Ageing, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

René Bindels: Professor and Scientific Director of the Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS), the Netherlands.

Karen O’Hanlon Cohrt: Holds a PhD in Biotechnology from Maynooth University, Ireland. She currently works in Scientific Sales and has a passion for scientific communication.

Jeremy Daniel: PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics and currently works as a Scientific Officer at the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Denmark.

Federico De Masi: Holds a PhD in Biochemistry and currently works as a Senior Bioinformatics Project Manager at Intomics A/S, Denmark.

Janine Erler: Group Leader at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC), University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Juan R. García Soria: International Business Manager at BioSeed Capital Ltd, and Managing Director of the Biotechnology Business Institute, Spain.

Joan J. Guinovart: Group leader at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) and Emeritus Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Barcelona, Spain.

Tomas Jasco: Recieved his PhD at the Leibniz Institute fur Molekulare Pharmakologie, Berlin, Germany, and currently works as a Research Scientist at specialty pharmaceutical company Nuevolution A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark.

Helen Lee: Received her MSc and PhD from University of Oxford and Cornell University, respectively. She is currently the Chairman and CEO of the Diagnostics for the Real World Ltd.

Jiri Lukas: Professor and the Executive Director of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research (CPR), University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

David Pina: Received his PhD from the University of Salamanca, and currently works at the Research Executive Agency in Brussels, Belgium.

Lucas Sanchez: Holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology, and is the co-founder and Director of Scienseed, a science communication agency, Spain.

E-ri Maria Sol: Holds a PhD in Medical Science from Uppsala University, Sweden, and currently works as a patent examiner at Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKTPO), Denmark.

Jørg Stange: Has a doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, and curently trainer for personal and professional development of scientists at hfp consulting, Germany.

Louise von Stechow: Holds a PhD from the Leiden Academic Center for Drug Research in Leiden, Netherlands and currently works as an associate at a management consulting firm (Catenion, Germany).

Emanuele Storti: Holds a PhD in Computer Science, and currently works as a postdoctoral researcher and adjunct professor in Acona, Italy. He is a General Board Member in Eurodoc (European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers) and in ADI (Italian Association of PhD candidates and PhDs).

Rosella Visintin: Principal investigator at European Institute of Oncology, Milan, Italy.

Sofia Waldemarson: Holds a PhD in Immunotechonology and currently works as a Scientific Advisor in the biopharmaceutical industry for Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sweden.
